A Lesson From My Sales Days
Years ago, I worked in sales for a company that developed software for travel agencies. My role was to contact agencies, explain how this brilliant system could transform their admin, and book a demo.
One day, after a demo, I asked the prospect when they’d like to get started.
He looked me straight in the eye and said:
“Your product is amazing. It has some really good features.
But I don’t need it.”
Crystal clear. No faff. No fluff. Just honest clarity.
That moment stuck with me — and it taught me a lesson I still carry today:
Needs exist. They’re not created.
What That Means for My Work Today
Fast forward to today.
I’m a bookkeeper with over 20 years’ experience, across two countries. Since 2014, I’ve specialised in cloud bookkeeping using Xero.
But here’s the thing:
I’m not here to convince you that you need my services.
If You’re Doing Your Own Bookkeeping
If you’re running a small business and doing your own bookkeeping — even though it’s not your area of expertise — I want to help you do it better.
I’ll share:
- What I do
- How I do it
- Why it matters
So you can:
- Improve your processes
- Spot mistakes early
- Feel more confident in your numbers
Because good bookkeeping isn’t about complexity. It’s about clarity.
When the Time Is Right
And if, at some point, you decide you’d like support — and you think I might be the right person to help — then just let me know.
I’ll be here when you need me.
